Public invited to provide comments for potential improvements on Hwy 71 and Hwy 23 north of Willmar
WILLMAR, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the traveling public, area residents, and businesses from Willmar, Spicer, New London, and surrounding areas to participate in a virtual conversation as part of an ongoing Highway 71/23 study north of Willmar.
MnDOT is in the process of planning a robust concrete resurfacing project for the northbound lanes of Highway 71/23, spanning from business Hwy 71 near the Kandiyohi County Law Enforcement Center to the Hwy 71 and Hwy 23 split north of Eagle Lake. The purpose of the study is to gain an understanding of transportation needs, identify potential future improvements, and determine how and when these improvements should be implemented.
The public is invited to share comments, highlight areas of interest, and complete a survey to provide input on possible roadway design changes. Participants are asked to provide their input by November 1, 2024.
