Learn about future roundabout April 2 at open house in Cove
Improves access north of Onamia at Highway 27 and 169
BAXTER, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the community to learn about plans to improve access and safety with a new roundabout at the north intersection of Highway 27 and Highway 169, north of Onamia, Mille Lacs County, on Tuesday, April 2.
The open house will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at South Harbor Township Hall, 38677 Hyser Ave., Cove, MN. Guests will have the opportunity to visit with project staff, view design layouts and ask questions. To better fit individual schedules, the event is drop-in style—guests may arrive and leave at their convenience.
The roundabout project is currently in the design phase and is scheduled for construction in 2026. When complete, the roundabout will improve safety, access and traffic flow, especially on weekend recreational peaks at this busy intersection.
